Ingredients

vegetable oil
1 cup
double smoked bacon, diced
2 tbsp
butter
1 tsp
chopped garlic
1 tbsp
chopped chives
half lemon
lemon juice
half lemon
zest

small chunked parmigiana

sliced chilli
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1/2 cup
fine-ground cornmeal
Instructions
The prefect way to get everyone excited about a pizza party is to start with some salty bite size dough. I mean, you made it, it’s right there! Let’s flex our mussels and fry some dough.
Method
1. Dust dough with cornmeal and gently pat into a 1 inch pucks. Cut 4 by 4 to make 1 inch pieces.
2. Let dough rise in a warm area for 40 minutes.
3. In a large pan, sauté bacon until crisp. Remove fat to your liking. Add garlic, chillies, and butter.
4. Fry dough at 350 degrees celsius for 2 minutes, or until balls are floating and flipping.
5. Remove balls from fryer and introduce to the salty pan of goodness.
6. Season with salt and pepper, giving a splash of lemon juice and zest. Season to taste once more and plate, garnishing with chives and parmigiana.
