Savoury funnel cake

Bring the amusement park home this summer with this savoury spin on the classic funnel cake.

Ingredients

1
egg
1/2 cup
milk
1/2 cup
water
1 1/4 cups
all purpose flour
2 teaspoons
mash potato
1 tablespoon
baking powder
salt and pepper
oil for frying

Garnish

2 tablespoons
chopped chives
1/2 cup
shredded cheddar
1/2 cup
sour cream
1/2 cup
crispy bacon

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size bowl mix potato, milk, water and egg.  Slowly add flour, baking soda and salt and pepper to make a batter.
  2. Place into a piping bag and pipe into 350-degree oil, flip when golden and repeat.
  3. Remove and drain excess oil. 
  4. Garnish appropriately and serve.
