INGREDIENTS
- 1 head Boston lettuce
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes
- 2 cups grilled chicken sliced
- ½ cup blue cheese crumbled
- 8 slices bacon cooked
- 1 avocado sliced
- 2 to 4 boiled eggs peeled and cut in half
Buttermilk Ranch Dressing
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ⅓ cup buttermilk well-shaken before measuring
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp dijon
- 1 very small garlic clove grated or pureed
- ¼ cup chives or dill snipped (or both)
METHOD
- Whisk the dressing ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Transfer to a mason jar and chill at least 1 hour before serving.
- To assemble the salad, arrange the lettuce on 4 shallow, wide bowls.
- Place all the toppings on a large platter with lots of serving spoons.
- Serve the dressing alongside in a small pitcher so everyone can assemble their own preferred combination.
