White wine and rosé sangria

Three exponentially refreshing summer sangria's perfect for the pitcher!

Ingredients

bottle red wine
4
ounces brandy
3
ounces simple syrup
1
cup seeded oranges, lemons and limes

White Sangria

1/3
cup sugar
1/3
cup brandy
1
cup Rainier cherries, pitted
1
cup strawberries, sliced
1
cup peaches, sliced
2
bottles white wine, chilled
1
cup club soda, chilled
10
pieces basil

Rosé Sangria with Lemon & Raspberries

3/4
cup limoncello
1
cup raspberries, fresh
1
cup strawberries, hulled and quartered
1 (750-ml)
bottle dry rosé, chilled
1
medium lemon, thinly sliced, seeds discarded

Instructions

Red Sangria
  1. In a pitcher, combine the red wine, brandy (you can substitute the brandy with cognac or orange liqueur).
  2. Add Simple Syrup and fruit. 
  3. Refrigerate until the drink is chilled and the flavours are blended, about 4 hours.
  4. Serve the sangria in chilled, ice-filled wine glasses
Tip: Some people really like orange juice in sangria, feel free to add some in! White Sangria
  1. Add the sugar and brandy to a large pitcher and stir until the sugar has dissolved. 
  2. Add the fresh fruit & wine and stir to combine. 
  3. Add the basil. 
  4. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 6 hours before serving. 
  5. Just before serving add the club soda. 
  6. Serve over ice.
Rosé Sangria with Lemon & Raspberries
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the limoncello and strawberries.
  2. Top with the chilled rosé and stir in half of the lemon wheels.
  3. Pour the sangria into ice-filled glasses. 
  4. Scoop some fruit into each glass and garnish with a lemon wheel.  
Simple Syrup
  1. Mix equal parts sugar to water.
  2. Heat the water in a kettle or on the stove top.
  3. Let it cool.
