INGREDIENTS
- 1 454g ball fresh pizza dough
- 3/4 cup pizza sauce
- 3 cups grated mozzarella
- 1 1/2 cups diced kolbassa
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pineapple
- 1 small red onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 red pepper diced
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a 14″ round pizza pan (or 18″ x 13″ rectangular pan). Spread pizza sauce over dough and sprinkle with mozzarella. Add toppings evenly over dough.
- Bake in the centre of the oven for 10 minutes or until crust is golden and crispy. Broil for another 2 to 5 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
FOR LUNCH
Thread sausage, mozzarella, and red pepper slices onto bamboo skewers. For a healthy snack, mix pineapple slices with yogurt and granola.
TIP
If pineapple is a bit tart for your taste buds, try substituting local, in-season pears. For a more savoury flavour, substitute with mushrooms and fresh basil.
