Dr. Joey’s favourite turkey chili

Ingredients
1 ½ tbsp.
olive oil
1 lbs.
ground turkey
1 can
diced tomatoes
1 can
tomato sauce, (no sugar)
1/2 medium
onion
2
diced celery sticks
2
peeled and diced carrots
1 cup
sliced mushrooms
1 cup
broccoli, florets
3 cloves
garlic
1/2 tsp
dried basil
1/2 tsp
parsley
1/2 tsp
oregano
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1 tbsp
chili powder
1
bay leaf
1 can
kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the post and cook until evenly brown. Stir in the onions and cook until tender.
- Stir in tomatoes, sauce, onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli and spices.
- Simmer uncovered for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add kidney beans and simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove bay leaf and enjoy!
