Delicious turkey meatballs

Make a batch of Dr. Joey Shulman's healthier turkey meatballs for a family friendly dinner.

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs
ground turkey
1/4 cup
whole wheat breadcrumbs
1
egg
1/4 cup
parsley, finely chopped
1-2
cloves of garlic
1/4 cup
grated Parmesan, optional
pinch
salt and pepper
1 can
low sodium tomato sauce
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic, cheese and salt.
- Mix ingredients well and form small balls. In a saucepan, add a can of low sodium tomato sauce and let it come to a boil. Once it has come to a boil, put prepared meatballs into sauce, and allow to simmer for 2 hours. Occasionally move meatballs around to allow even cooking.
