Cinnamon & star anise braised beef stew with root vegetables

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

  1. Pre-heat croc pot, dutch oven, or large heavy bottom pan to medium high heat.
  2. Add oil and sear beef on all sides for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add onions and garlic and lightly brown.
  4. Add in all remaining vegetables except beans and add stock or water, salt, pepper and spices. Bring to a boil then reduce to low heat and stew for 2-2.5 hours or until beef is very tender.
  5. Add beans a few minutes before serving.
