Chef Stefano’s smash burger

Homemade burgers are always the way to go!

Ingredients

4
(preferably with coarsely minced meat) beef patties
4
hamburger buns

slices of pickle
½
finely sliced red onion
Iceberg lettuce leaves
4 to 8
slices of tomato

Tousignant Spice

1 tbsp
paprika
1 tbsp
granulated sugar
2 tsps
onion powder
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
ground black pepper
1 tsp
garlic powder
¼ tsp
cayenne pepper

Tousignant Sauce

½ cup
mayonnaise
1 tbsp
ketchup
1 tbsp
yellow mustard
¼ tsp
garlic powder
¼ tsp
paprika
Pinch of
cayenne pepper
1 tbsp
pickle juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the Tousignant Spice. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the Tousignant Sauce. Set aside.
  3. Cook the patties on the barbecue or on a very hot skillet. Turn over patties once meat starts to sweat. Season the cooked side with the Tousignant Spice.
  4. Toast the hamburger buns.
  5. Spread the Tousignant Sauce on each side of the bun. Place the desired toppings on one side of the bun and season with the Tousignant Spice.
  6. Place cooked patty on the other side of the bun and put together to finish up the burger.
