INGREDIENTS
- 4 (preferably with coarsely minced meat) beef patties
- 4 hamburger buns
- 12 slices of pickle
- ½ finely sliced red onion
- Iceberg lettuce leaves
- 4 to 8 slices of tomato
Tousignant Spice
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsps onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Tousignant Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp paprika
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp pickle juice
METHOD
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the Tousignant Spice. Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine all the ingredients for the Tousignant Sauce. Set aside.
- Cook the patties on the barbecue or on a very hot skillet. Turn over patties once meat starts to sweat. Season the cooked side with the Tousignant Spice.
- Toast the hamburger buns.
- Spread the Tousignant Sauce on each side of the bun. Place the desired toppings on one side of the bun and season with the Tousignant Spice.
- Place cooked patty on the other side of the bun and put together to finish up the burger.
