Take on summer with this refreshing and sweet citrus dessert!

Chef Stefano Faita’s simple recipe for citrus carpaccio with infused honey is perfect for your next summer gathering. With a vanilla cinnamon infused honey, you’ll be wanting more with every bite! You can also get creative and make this dish into a savoury appetizer or entree by adding red onion, black olives, olive oil, and basil to balance the sweetness of the citrus and honey.

Ingredients

2-3
large oranges
1/2 cup
honey
1/2
vanilla bean
1
cinnamon stick
1 tsp
fennel seed
2 tbsp
chopped pistachio, (for garnish)
Mint leaves, (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Peel oranges. Cut into crosswise slices and remove any seeds. Set aside.
  2. Add honey, cinnamon stick, vanilla bean, and fennel seeds to a small saucepan over low heat. Heat until honey is thin, syrupy, and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, arrange orange slices on a platter. Drizzle with honey syrup. Garnish with pistachios and mint.
