Porter’s Mulled Wine

Ingredients
1 bottle
good quality red wine
1 stick
cinnamon
2
star anise
1/4 teaspoon
whole cloves
1
whole orange, zest (peel using vegetable peeler for large strips)
cinnamon sticks, garnish
fresh cranberries, garnish
Instructions
- Place the first 6 ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a simmer on medium-high heat.
- Reduce to low heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
- Remove aromatics from wine, add brandy and tonic syrup and stir.
- Keep warm on stove until ready to serve.
