INGREDIENTS
- 1 bottle good quality red wine
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 2 star anise
- 1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 whole orange zest (peel using vegetable peeler for large strips)
- cinnamon sticks garnish
- fresh cranberries garnish
METHOD
- Place the first 6 ingredients in a medium pot and bring to a simmer on medium-high heat.
- Reduce to low heat and let steep for 30 minutes.
- Remove aromatics from wine, add brandy and tonic syrup and stir.
- Keep warm on stove until ready to serve.
