[bc_video video_id="6287361317001" account_id="2226196965001" player_id="rkljM4WDEg"]
There is no better time than the holidays to embrace all day lounging in pyjamas. It’s not only about being comfy for your night’s sleep but cozy during the day.
How do you define cozy? Whether it's elegant cozy or cute cozy. There is an option for everyone AND your every mood! And all of these are elevated enough to feel comfortable answering the door.
1. Family sets
A unique PJs print is hard to find but Indigo has long sleeve 2 piece sets for the whole family! I was late to the matching family PJs and only started when we got the dog but we are all in now!
Here is a great print that isn’t your expected holiday print. I also love that it’s a jogger on the bottom with a drawstring waist. Really a flattering cut for everyone.
Indigo is known for these super plush reading socks and slippers. They have some fun prints and colour options and I paired these with the pyjama set.
2. Romper PJs
Athleta has just launched in Canada and while we may know it for the athletic gear, they also carry great loungewear and PJs. This is a romper! The fitted top and then graceful full legs is an outfit dream already then make it for sleeping! I’ve paired it with the lounge wrap sweater for an added comfort layer. Also, another great brand with extended sizing.

3. Nightdress
I love that we are seeing more nightdresses available. They are no longer that more frumpy image but trim with thoughtful details. The super comfy bamboo fabric is moisture-wicking so perfect for all ages! This is J is a female-owned Canadian brand sourced and made locally and ethically. Plus they carry matching PJs for the whole family and extended sizes.

4. Matching sets
I personally love a decadent matching set. Once I wore a silky set outside on my terrace for morning coffee on a vacation, I was 150% converted! For the first matching set, I have a short/ cami set in the same print with an oversized silk shirt that I am using as an overshirt or robe, all from the Banana Republic. It’s the best of both worlds and in a lovely print.
For the second set, I have one of my favourite sets, a long sleeve shirt and a wide-leg pant set from KIP.

How To Get the Perfect Long-Lasting Red Lip
[bc_video video_id="6287179745001" account_id="2226196965001" player_id="rkljM4WDEg"]
Searching for the perfect red lipstick can be challenging but finding one that can stand the test of time is an even more daunting task. That is why I went on the hunt to find unique formulas and perfect red shades for 3 different women.
Few women wear red lipstick every single day. Most red lipsticks end up at the bottom of a makeup bag, only to be pulled out around the holidays. Due to this, I chose two really accessible lipsticks at reasonable price points, so you can justify buying them – just in case you rarely wear it. I also included one elevated choice as well for those that frequent a red lippie. And I got some familiar faces to test them all out.

Lipstick #1 - Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink
For Mairlyn, I chose this warm shade that is technically more of an orangey-red. it is a liquid lipstick that has a pointed doe-foot for easy application and to really help you shape the lips. I knew this shade would look fantastic on her fairer skin tone and really brighten up her face. The liquid lipstick is extremely pigmented and dries to a comfortable finish. Not too drying. This lipstick is fantastic at being transfer-proof. Kissable, yet pigmented.
Lipstick #2 - Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick
For Julie, I opted for a traditional Hollywood red. (The likes of what Marilyn Monroe used to wear) This lipstick in my opinion is by far the most comfortable to wear. It has a creamy texture that remains comfortable for hours on end. *Not as transfer-proof because of its creamy texture. However, applied in thin layers, this does last a significant amount of time and the colour pay-off is exceptional. Wouldn’t attempt any makeouts with this lippie on. Tone-wise, this shade is in between a warm red and a cool red.
Lipstick #3 - Smashbox Always On Cream to Matte Lipstick
The most expensive of all the lipsticks. This is the ultimate matte lipstick. Glides on creamy and dries to an ultra-matte finish. The best part: won't smudge, budge, or feather. The shade I chose for Vivian is a blue-based red which is fantastic at keeping your smile looking bright white. The more blue-based the lipstick, the whiter your teeth look. This red shade has a beautiful depth to it which I think compliments Vivian's skin tone beautifully.
Tips to give your long-wear lipstick an extra boost:
Something to remember is that the hourly claims on lippies aren't always how long they actually last, but there are things you can do to help your long-wear lipsticks withstand a busy day.
- Exfoliate and hydrate lips before applying
- Fill in lips with lipliner
- Apply in very thin layers
- Place a tissue over your lips and blot translucent loose powder on top of your lips to further set the lipstick. (Helps to blot the lipstick as well)
- Avoid eating anything that is really oily. Anything oily will naturally break down the lipstick the same way an oil cleanser would.

4 Ways To Style Your Special Occasion Clothing For Everyday Wear
[bc_video video_id="6287176814001" account_id="2226196965001" player_id="rkljM4WDEg"]
Many of us have a tendency to save our special closet pieces - many times the ones we’ve splurged on- for a special occasion. I'm here to say NO MORE! Stop saving your best or your prettiest for a special occasion, and make every occasion special.
1. The Suit
With many people working from home meetings aren't an everyday thing. The pantsuit has been the serious workhorse in our wardrobe for years. The better the fabric, the more serious it became.
Colourful pairings of the same wool can offer so many options, including the workplace, but now the suit stands for personal choice and style and mixing colours that are complementary is a great way to give way more wearability to THE SUIT.
Suit from: Banana Republic
2. The Little Black Dress
What if I don’t have any reason to wear a black dress these days. The little black dress feels very sober right now, but the dress is fabulous when it makes you feel joy. Velvet, in the past, always meant more formal, but fabrics are so interchangeable now.
Choose something feminine and fun and wear it everywhere, not waiting for a special occasion. Winterize it with a turtle neck and wear it in the spring to any place you choose.
Dress from: Winners
3. Pop of Colour
I think we tend to buy higher-priced items in Black, for longevity. European women are leading the way in fashion when it comes to colour, and I believe colour can be a great investment when the colour is right.
The universal blue that I have chosen is the Television’s choice of colour because it looks beautiful on every skin tone. Wear it anywhere and everywhere, and get your money’s worth.
Outfit from: Toni Plus
4. Sequins
Sequins say Party Wear like no the fabric, but don’t let the lack of a dressy occasion stop you from wearing this. Keep everything else that you wear with the holiday textured fabric more relaxed and on weekends for the best results.

3 Trendy DIY Nail Designs To Try This Winter
[bc_video video_id="6287179318001" account_id="2226196965001" player_id="rkljM4WDEg"]
Whether you’re going to parties or just hanging out at home this holiday, it’s the perfect time to add a bit of glitz and glamour to your look – and that includes your nails! Looking festive and being colourful doesn’t only apply to your clothing and makeup. It can also apply to your nails.
I love the Joy of Color Collection from Sally Hansen because it includes trending festive colours like red, maroons and green shades. Plus, they have a new glittery white shade. So it has everything to make it the perfect holiday collection.
1. Holiday Nail Art
If you’re like me and love decorating for the holidays, then why not have some fun decorating your nails with the same festive spirit? When it comes to my nails I say go big or go home. Do nails that get noticed. Here I created my own nail art and drew on some Christmas trees.
Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel Joy of Colour collection is perfect for the holiday season with 6 great colours. My favourite colour from this collection is a deep green called “under the tree” which gave me the inspiration for this look. I paired it with the colour "Snow What You Want".
2. New Year's Eve Sparkle
NYE is all about the glitz and glam. I love sparkle, especially metallics. So, I’ve done a Half and a Half! Here I’ve used colours "Gift" for Blue & "Wrapped in Love". Again, it’s all about the sparkle. I’m aiming for 10 disco balls on my hands for NYE…Lol!
3. Sophisticated Look
I love going all out with my nails, but if it isn’t your thing and prefer a more subtle look, then you can’t go wrong with a classic French manicure. But this one has a twist. Instead of a white tip, I’m going to use some colour. I’m going to try the colour "Red It Twice" that works so well for winter and especially the holidays.
What I love about metallics, is that it’s super forgiving. Steaks and smudges don’t really show, which makes it perfect for when you’re doing it yourself at home. You can wear one colour if you’re more subtle or alternate colours and still keep it a sophisticated, elevated look.
And don’t forget to always use the Miracle Gel Step Two topcoat to protect your manicure. After using the Miracle Gel polish colour, top it off with theTop Coat and you can have your mani looking amazing for up to 8 days! And you don’t need a UV lamp.
