Eggnog cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 1/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp ground nutmeg
Method:
Preheat oven to 300F.
Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and set aside. In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter with mixer to form a grainy paste.
Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks and beat until smooth. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake for about 25 minutes or until bottoms turn light brown.
