Remember when we were kids and we enjoyed slushies, floaties, popsicles and every other summertime treat? We didn’t stop enjoying them… we just like to give it a little spike now and again. Desserts expert Jyoti Nanra shares how to bring the nostalgia out with these childhood classics — with a boozy spin.
INGREDIENTS
Frosé Slushie
- 1 bottle rosé
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup frozen watermelon
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
Spiked Cold Brew Floatie
- 3 cups cold brew
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Baileys
- 1/4 cup vodka
- chocolate syrup
- whipped cream
Fruity Mimosa Popsicle
- 1 bottle champagne
- fresh orange juice
- raspberries
METHOD
Frosé Slushie
Method:
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend.
- Transfer the blender jug to the freezer for 25-35 minutes.
- Blend again and serve.
Spiked Cold Brew Floatie
Method:
- Fill a jug with milk, Bailey’s, and vodka.
- Swirl chocolate syrup in 3-4 mason jars or glasses, and top each with ice.
- Fill with desired amount of cold brew and top with spiked mixture.
- Top with whip.
Fruity Mimosa Popsicle
Method:
- Fill each popsicle mold with raspberries and muddle them.
- Top with orange juice and freeze overnight.
- Pop each popsicle into a champagne flute and top with bubbles.
