Creating a beautiful home environment can be wonderful not just for its aesthetic value, but also for the benefit a comfortable space can provide to your overall wellness. For WLC10, Design Expert Victoria Tonelli revamped areas of our challengers’ homes to aid in their wellness journeys. Take a look at the stunning transformations:
Janvere’s Renovation
Starting from a clash of hardwood and tile floors, a dark and disorganized kitchen and a broken couch, Janvere’s home desperately needed a change.
With the help of renovation crews, designer Victoria gave this home a much needed makeover. The clashing floor styles were removed in favour of a singular, cohesive style made of engineered flooring. The cabinets of the kitchen were painted to bring more brightness to the space, and were fitted with some sorely needed organizational compartments. The brown countertops were swapped out for a bright white marble pattern that carries into the backsplash. Lastly, of course, the broken couch was removed in favour of a more cohesive – and completely intact – couch.
We’re as happy with the result as Janvere is! For more information on any of the products used in the renovation, see our list below:

Michelle’s Renovation
Our second renovation receiver, Michelle, was desperately seeking a better bedroom. With a cluttered closet making it impossible to access clothing and a broken bed with a hand-me-down mattress, it was clear to see that her bedroom was no relaxing oasis.
For the renovation, Victoria opted to go pink, painting over the gray walls with a luxurious blush color. A cabinet of bonus storage was installed to help bring more order to the unruly closet. The short, ineffective drapes were swapped out for long, elegant blackout curtains, and the measly mat was changed into a large, comfortable rug. Finally, of course, the defunct bed was ousted in favour of a luxurious mattress with crisp white bedding and a gorgeous headboard.
This is a particularly gorgeous transformation, and we hope that Michelle can finally have the sweet dreams that she deserves! To check out the products used in this renovation, see our list below:

Nadia’s Renovation
Our third challenger, Nadia, wanted a cleaner, more beautiful living space for herself, her husband and her son Antonio. The dated tile floor, excess of bulky furniture and toys strewn everywhere were posing significant problems to that goal, not to mention the generally dark nature of the living and dining space.
This renovation involved a total upheaval of the floor, removing the old tiles and installing engineered oak flooring to really modernize the space. Next, Nadia’s old furniture was total removed and replaced with less bulky, more elegant furniture. This really helped to make the space feel more adult. Victoria also installed a banquette to help free up some space around the formerly cluttered dining table, maximizing seating in the process. Brightening up the space was also a real priority, and the addition of a fresh coat of paint, elegant and warm drapes, a multi-piece rug and a slim and elegant TV did the trick. And of course, we can’t forget little Antonio. Victoria wanted to ensure that everyone had their own space in the new room, regardless of size! A little play station was set up for Antonio, along with an organizational unit with plenty of space for all of his toys.
Nadia loves the new space, but we think the real winner just might be little Antonio. Either way, it seems like this reno was a complete crowd-pleaser! To see any of the products used to renovate Nadia’s home, check out our full list below:

Anji’s Renovation
Our last WLC 10 challenger was Anji, a lovely woman with a less-than-lovely basement. The underground den was doubling as a home gym and a living room. Dingy green walls, a curtain concealing various clutter and a claustrophobic feeling were definitely not conducive to getting the motivation to work out.
With the intention of creating a light and pristine space that would make anyone want to work out, Victoria’s first order of business was brightening up the space. Painting the walls a light grey and changing out the antiquated stair runner really set the foundation for the rest of the reno. The piles of clutter hidden by curtains were ousted in favor of a custom cabinet to maximize the space – with doors instead of drapes! To give the illusion of more space, Victoria filled one of the walls with full length mirrors, a TV and a beautiful Reflect 50. If that doesn’t make you want to move, what would? Finally, what good would a gym be without equipment? From the aforementioned Reflect 50 to yoga mats to weights to ellipticals, the new basement was definitely ready to help Anji feel the burn.
Anji was super deserving of this renovation, and we’re so glad we could give her a space just for herself. To check out the products used in her reno, check our comprehensive list:
