INGREDIENTS
- 1 tin Condensed milk
- 2 boxes Butter shortbread
- 6 Candy canes
- 1 oz fine Whiskey
- 3 twists Black pepper
- 1 pinch Sea salt
METHOD
- In a medium sauce pot bring condensed milk to a very soft simmer. Constantly stirring, until it slightly caramelized. Add whiskey, salt and pepper. Set aside and let cool.
- Smash the candy canes in the mortar with pestle. Smash them some more, now really smash them to a peppermint dust.
- Place 1 tablespoon of condensed milk onto a shortbread, top with another to make a tasty sweet sandwich, roll outside edge in peppermint dust and serve!
