- Remove the lid from the tin can and place a paper cup upside down inside to check the height (you want the cup to be about 2-3″ shorter than the can, so if it is too tall, cut some of the rim off)
- Using a hot glue gun, put a bead of glue around the rim of the cup and place it rim down into the centre of the can to secure it in place.
- Open up a toilet paper roll holder and remove the spring inside with another bead of hot glue, secure one end of the spring to the bottom of the cup inside the can.
- Take a second paper cup and measure about 1″ from the bottom all the way around, and then cut to make a 1″ tall cup and discard the excess add more hot glue to the exposed top of the spring, and place the shallow 1″ tall cup centred and upside down onto the glue once the glue is dry, you can write a message on the bottom of the shallow cup that is popping out, and also fill the can and shallow cup with artificial snow and confetti.
- The can is also perfect for stashing sweet treats and gift cards as an added surprise place the lid on the shallow cup and slowly push down forcing the spring into the can, and then secure the can lid well. You can tie a piece of ribbon around the can to ensure the lid won’t pop off during transport.
- Now, all that’s left is to surprise someone and “let it snow””
