INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp. instant coffee (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup butter at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 white chocolate chips
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour with cocoa, coffee powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat butter with brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until well-combined. Add flour mixture and stir until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scoop into cookies and place about 2 inches apart on prepared sheets.
- Bake, switching sheets on racks halfway, 9 to 12 min or until just cooked.
- Transfer to a rack to cool completely.
