Tears, hugs, and pushups in Week 5

I can't say it too much! I love, love, love this challenge. I am feeling so connected to my group that I can't imagine not having them with me anymore.

I can’t say it too much! I love, love, love this challenge. I am feeling so connected to my group that I can’t imagine not having them with me anymore. Every time I think of the results I could (and have) shed my famous happy tears!

It is so special to see clients take themselves through this journey. It is so powerful to witness the “I can do this” moments. I am confident that this far into the journey, each one of my ladies has come over the hump and realized that their goals are within reach.

BUT don’t think for one second that because they are working with me they haven’t had had their fair share of moments.

Yup! As expected and right on time. This week I forced some good confessions and heart to hearts. I shared tears, I re-motivated, I re-assessed and most importantly I took a look at managing expectations.

In fact I just got a valuable lesson literally just prior to writing this blog about managing expectations (thanks, Sheldon!).

Every single one of my ladies has seen significant improvements in levels of fitness and therefore health in 4 weeks. They have all dropped body fat and they are all exercising more than they were before. They are all learning and being educated on how to this “fitness thing” right. It has only been 4 weeks! I’m sure once the ladies read this post many will share moments of “yeah, maybe she’s right, maybe I am doing great”…

Stop, stop, stop! You are all doing amazing, you ARE doing it, and you NEED to enjoy the accomplishments you’ve made to date.

I am guilty of the same bad habit…

Let’s share our happy tears, hug out our frustration, and continue to do push ourselves to be the best we can be.

Today over dinner the same person that reminded me of this lesson shared a thought in passing. As it resonates with me I like to share it with you…

Have you ever asked yourself who you are grateful for when it comes to your successes? Do you thank your family, your friends, perhaps God? In my head I rhymed off about 10 specific names as if I was having my Oscar podium moment. It didn’t faze me for one split second to thank myself. Isn’t it so obvious? If it wasn’t for me… I would not have gotten to where I am today!

So simple… Yet so often missed.

Thank yourselves now and every day!

See you for more tears and sweat in week 6.

With love,

Stephanie Joanne
