1. Ferulic Acid

What is it: Antioxidant battling free-radical damage like spots and fine lines AND works BEST when combined with Vit. C & E, as FA makes *them* more stable, like a superhero team (The Stabilizers)

Names to look for: Ferulic Acid(FA)

Best found in: Leave-on products like serums, creams

When to use it: Ideal for a.m. use, as it couples SO well with vitamin C (which is ideally used during the day)

Avoid: Using it with exfoliating acids like glycolic, lactic etc – try to keep those to your nighttime routine, instead

 

2. Bifida Ferment Lysate

What is it: Probiotic  & skin conditioner – can help balance out skins microflora, which improves the skin’s barrier and PH levels (this means it’s a happy place)

Names to look for: Bifida Ferment Lysate

Best found in: Cleansers, serums, essences, moisturizers, masks

When to use it: Good for a.m. and p.m. use

 

3. Salicylic Acid

What is it:  Exfoliant, remove excess oil, reduce white and blackheads

Names to look for: Salicylic Acid aka Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA)

Best found in: Spot treatments, serums, lotions

When to use it:  a.m. OR p.m. (use one exfoliant at a time)

 

4. Hemp Seed Oil

What is it: Oil – Gamma Linoleic Acids, which are high in Omega-6 & 3 fatty acids. They can reduce inflammation, regulate oil production (great for oily or acneic skin)

Names to look for: Hemp oil, Hemp seed oil, Cannabis sativa seed oil, NOT to be mistaken for CBD oil – this contains no CBD compounds

Best found in: Creams, lotions, facial oil blends

When to use it: Day and night, depending on the formula
