Working from home can be extremely taxing for those that aren’t used to it. Research has found that before COVID-19, 5% of people reported high-to-extreme levels of anxiety – now its risen to around 20%. Since, depression has more than doubled, augmenting from 4% to 10%, according to Mental Health Research Canada. Research often shows the benefits of working from home, but experts are fearing that productivity will plummet because people are working alongside their kids in unsuitable space and no clear ‘office’ hours/days, according to the Stanford Institute For Economic Policy Research.
