Eat clean action step: To boost your immune system and to reduce inflammation, you can eat crushed garlic raw or take garlic supplements. However, garlic can interact with certain types of medications (such as blood thinners), so always talk to your doctor first.
Garlic a member of the onion family, has long been used for its effective medicinal and therapeutic properties. Garlic can boost your immune system, making it an ideal food to incorporate when getting sick with a cold or flu. Garlic has also been found to help reduce cholesterol levels, prevent dementia, lower blood pressure, and help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Considering how mighty these little cloves are, it’s no wonder they have been touted as a super food for so many years. Nutrient rich, garlic contains vitamin C, vitamin B6, manganese, and fiber and is a good source of anti-oxidants.
Garlic can be incorporated into your diet in many many such as being added to a stir-fry, a tomato sauce or salad dressing. It can also be crushed up and added onto roasted vegetables drizzled with a little bit of olive oil.
