Day #7 – Feel good with flaxseeds!
Eat clean action step:
Not as regular as you would like to be? Add 1-2 tsp of ground flaxseeds to your morning yogurt.
This tear dropped seed is filled to the brim with nutritional benefits. Flaxseeds have been shown to be beneficial for constipation, reducing inflammation and for lowering cholesterol.
Flax seeds are rich in the essential fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6 and are also a source or protein, fiber and iron. To get the most from your flaxseeds, eat them ground as the full seed can often slip through the digestive system without providing their entire benefit. Flaxseeds can be stores in your fridge for up to 3 months.
To add flaxseeds to your diet, you can sprinkle them on yogurt, bake with them, put in a soup or salad or add them to veggie burgers.
