Tips and tricks to beat the beauty blahs
The quickest way to bring life to dull, winter skin is to add colour and shimmer. Makeup artist Tracy Peart shows us her three “B’s” and shares tips for how to do the looks right. Remember not to try all three at once or they will overwhelm your face.
Bronze. Get a powder or liquid bronzer—although powder is easier to work with. Don’t put it all over the face or it will look flat and muddy.
(In the video, Tracy shows you how to draw double threes on your face so the bronzer works as a contour and highlighter. The peaks and valleys will look more natural.)

Blue. Use a blue eyeliner for a fresher, more modern take on the ‘80s look. Go bold, i.e. electric blue, not subtle.
Use short strokes to apply the eyeliner. Don’t make one continuous line. Your hand will shake and the line will be crooked. Keep your strokes fine if you want a straight line!
Tip: start with a thin line and add more eyeliner if necessary for bigger eyes.
Bold. Use a bold lip or dark bold lip with nude or natural eyes. (You could wear only mascara.) Don’t pair this look with a bold eye.
Tip: use a lip brush to have more control over the amount of colour.
