#CitylineReal: How do YOU survive September?
Throughout 2015, we’re pushing our movement to keep it real and spread positivity on social media. It’s called #CitylineReal and we want YOU to be a part of it! From showing us your worst hair days and your messy closets, to telling us how you’re spreading more kindness on Twitter, stay tuned for weekly challenges every Monday! Show us your true selves and let’s keep out all the hate! We’ll post a round-up of our fave posts every week, so whether you’re posting on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, be sure to tag us and include the hashtag #CitylineReal.
This week’s challenge: We want to know how YOU survive September! Do you make and freeze meals ahead of time? Do you make schedules to plan out your weekly activities? Or do you just fight to keep your head above the water amidst the chaos? Share your stories with us on your social media accounts and include the hashtag #CitylineReal!
And now, let’s take a look at a couple of our fave posts from last week’s challenge to tell us how you really feel about your kids going back to school!

We also received some great comments on our Facebook page this week — here’s a few of our faves:
- Heather Vanderaa said: I hate back to school time. Early mornings, packing lunches, school drama and stressful evenings doing homework. I wish school was only three months a year lol
- Susane Scott said: Love back to school. More time during the day to do what I want. And a routine.
- Darlene Glennie said: I dread them going back to school. Now, on top of getting myself up and ready for work, I have to fight with teenagers, pack lunch, make more breakfast, pay ALL THOSE FEES, and remember THEIR homework because teens never do. So much stress. I like getting ready for work alone and sneaking out while they sleep all summer. And I’ll miss all our fun summer activities and bonding.
- Tanja Petrovic-Pacheco said: My son is starting kindergarten. While I am excited for him to start it also makes me a little sad because it means he’s growing up. When I ask him if he’ll miss me, he says he’ll miss his baby sister the most.
- Sunshine Hanan said: I’m sad that school is starting, I will miss DD while she is gone all day.
- Amanda Oblinsky said: I like back to school. Time to get back to a routine.
Thanks for keeping it real with us! Now get to work telling us how you survive September! #CitylineReal
