Have you joined our #100ActiveDays challenge yet? Members of our Cityline staff and guest experts have committed to doing at least one active thing every single day for 100 days, whether it’s going for a run, doing a yoga class, working in the garden, or even just taking the stairs!
Choosing the stairs over an elevator or escalator is a great way to add some extra active time into your day. Studies show that you burn an average of 10 calories per minute when you’re climbing the stairs — that’s 7 times more calories per minute than standing in an elevator! Check out these posts below from Tracy and some of our staff and viewers to see how we’ve been working stair-climbing into our daily routine!
“@CitylineCA: Today is official “take the stairs” day! Okay, we made that up…but let’s try it! #100activedays” Yup did that twice today !
