Wine of the Week for July 18, 2013
Trio Reserva, Concha Y Toro 2010
Maipo Valley, Chile
Extraordinary value/taste for the money! Mocha and dark chocolate aromas wrap themselves seductively around a core of fleshy blackberry fruit. Full-bodied and smooth. This wine is a blend of three grapes, thus “Trio”, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc. Finishes with some lovely cassis and pepper notes. Perfect party wine! Pair with roast beef, grilled steak and sunsets.
