How to throw a lobster themed party
A lobster themed evening is perfect for summer entertaining and resident expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault has thought of everything you need to host your own, easy, fast and affordable affair!
“As decadent as lobster is, you can have a lobster boil or bake party that is relaxed, easy-breezy and casual!” says Leigh-Ann. Not only will you be serving a delicious meal, but if you follow Leigh-Ann’s tips, you’ll be able to enjoy your guests company!
The first step, “Forget the linens!” says Leigh-Ann. There is no need for table cloths or fancy napkins at this dinner. Using craft paper as a table cloth, adds to the rustic, casual atmosphere and it keeps clean-up so simple and fast. The best part? At the end of the evening you can just fold everything up and throw it in the garbage.

At a lobster party, there is no need for cutlery! This will give you some extra elbow room and table space.
Often the centrepiece causes a lot of stress to the host, but Leigh-Ann created a centrepiece in three minutes. She used a turkey platter, a little sand, some netting, shells and candles for an easy and affordable piece.
Individual place settings are a great place to have fun with your theme. Leigh-Ann created personal buckets for every guest with everything they will need to dig in to their lobster dinner. Include a lobster bib, a lobster fork, lobster claws for cracking the shell, tobacco sauce, lemon wedges and wipes.
Instead of getting fancy with platters, serve side dishes family style in buckets – everyone can shovel out their sides right onto their plates!
