How to tame your curly hair in the summer

Sally Hershberger stopped by Cityline to share four of her tips for helping your curly hair survive in the warm, muggy weather.

The humidity can make it really difficult for individuals with curly hair.  Sally Hershberger stopped by Cityline to share four of her tips for helping your curly hair survive in the warm, muggy weather.

“The key is to put the right product in your hair, so it isn’t a big frizz ball,” Hershberger recommends.

1)    Using a good quality curl-enhancing product is a great product to have on hand:  It tames down the curls, maintains control, and helps protect your hair against damaging UV rays.

2)    When drying, twist your hair around your fingers:  This allows your hair to stay curled and waved, without the unwanted frizz.

3)    Before brushing your hair, rub in some curl-enhancing product:  This gives you the ability to brush your hair, without adding too much static and volumization.

4)    Bobby pins are your best friend: They help to hold down frizzy hair.  For best results, use three or four pins to hold down the hair, and brush as needed.
