Wood pine stock 1“ x 3“ profile

Wood Trim pieces

Wood Glue

Instructions:

1) Cut 1“ x 3“ pine stock into four pieces to frame tray top.

2) Secure pine pieces to tray top with wood glue and wood screws (counter sinking screws into tray sides).

3) Cut wood trim to frame inside of tray top to close off rounded corners & glue in place.

4) Fill counter sunk screws with wood fill.

5) Sand wood filled holes once dried.

6) Using caulking, fill gaps between trim and tray sides and tray bottom.

7) Drill holes for handles on tray sides.

8) Prime and paint (sanding and wiping dust between coats).

9) Secure handles to sides.

Fabric Top Option:

Following step 2, cut piece of fabric to sit inside tray top – glue in place using craft glue (one small bead of glue along perimeter of fabric will suffice) – and hold in place until set.

Stencil Option:

Using tracing paper – trace a design with a pencil.

Overlay tracing paper over carbon transfer paper (carbon side facing down on surface) and retrace outline with pencil – remove papers and hand paint design with brush and paint .
