Shows are available the day after they appear on Citytv, so users can

watch programming on their way into work or on their lunch break at the

office.

The app is currently available for free on the  iTunes Canada App Store.

Last year, Citytv launched the Citytv Video App for iPad — becoming the

first broadcaster to offer primetime content on the tablet device. It

remains among the top 15 entertainment apps in the iTunes Canada App

Store.

“Citytv continues to remain at the forefront of innovative digital

content. The new app for iPhone offers the same great user experience as

our popular iPad app,” said Andrea Gagliardi,  Rogers Digital Media’s

GM and senior director of broadcasting.

“This new app demonstrates our ongoing commitment to deliver unique,

on multiple devices.”

In addition to live and on-demand programming, the Citytv iPhone app

includes a notification service that reminds users when their favourite

shows are available on the app and on TV, as well as the ability to save

both viewing past and favourite clips. Video links can also be easily

shared on Facebook, Twitter and via email.
