DIY ‘Designer’ Parsons Table
Materials:
2 Ikea ‘Lack’ side
tables
Construction
adhesive
Caulking Gun
1. Assemble
one Ikea table.
2. Put
small amount of construction adhesive on bottom of each table leg.
3. Place
assembled table on top of 2nd table top – centered at each corner.
4. Wipe
away excess adhesive before it sets.
5. Place
heavy boxes or books on top of table to ensure adhesive sets properly. Let
construction adhesive set for 24 hours.
DIY
‘Designer-Inspired’ Indoor/Outdoor Table
Materials needed:
2 Ikea ‘Fniss’ wastepaper baskets
Ikea ‘Snudda’ lazy Susan
Construction adhesive
1. Ensure
bottoms of wastepaper baskets are flat. If not, remove any raised areas with a
Dremel tool.
2. Put
generous amounts of construction adhesive on the bottom of both wastepaper
baskets.
3. Press
the bottoms of wastepaper baskets together, using a side-to-side motion to
ensure full contact of the adhesive.
4. Let
dry for 24 hours.
5. Spray
paint ‘table top’ (lazy Susan) in desired colour. Let dry according to
manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Attach
‘table top’ to table base using construction adhesive. Let dry for 24 hours.
DIY Punch Bowl/Dome Cake Plate
Materials needed:
Ikea ‘Blanda’ bowl
– 20cm
Ikea ‘Blanda’ bowl
– 28 cm
Ikea ‘Varde’
knob/2 pack
Clear silicone
1. Apply
clear silicone on the bottom of the small bowl.
2. Attach
the small bowl and large bowl at their bottoms. Press and hold together for 30
seconds to ensure proper adhesion.
3. Attach
each knob to the opposite sides of the small bowl, equal distance apart, using
a dab of silicon on the bottom of each knob. Press and hold for 30 seconds to
ensure proper adhesion.
4. Let
dry for 24 hours.
